BIRDWATCHING AT
KAENG KRACHAN NATIONAL PARK 1D
Kaeng Krachan is the paradise for birdwatcher, with more than 250 species confirmed. The Park is of particular importance because many northern montane birds, such as the great and blue –throated barbets have been found here and a number of rainforest birds from peninsular Thailand, such as the green broadbill and red-billed malkoha, are also present. A remarkable and unexpected recent discovery was the ratchet-tailed tree pie, previously known only from northern Vietnam, Laos and southern China. These evidences attract birdwatchers from all over the world.
06.30 Pick up at the hotel in Phetchaburi by an air conditioned minibus.
07.30 Arrive Kaeng Krachan National Park and go bird watching at Khao Sam
Yod substatiuon, 20 km. away from headquarter. We will observe birds along the road which run through the mixed dicidous forest and evergreen forest which is 36 km. long. We will stop 2 or 3 point along the way. After having picnic lunch, continue for bird watching until 17.00. Then transfer back to the hotel.
