SUKHOTHAI - SISATCHANALAI - KAMPAENGPETCH 3D/2N
DAY 1
Am. Pick up at Phitsanulok or Sukhothai airport. Travel to Sukhothai Historical
Park. Visit the temples and reservoirs of the ancient city of Sukhothai such as
the magnificent Wat Mahathat, the beautiful A jana Buddha at Wat Si Chum,
Wat Pra Pai Luang, Wat Si Sawai. etc.
18.00 Check-in at Pailyn Hotel, Sukuhothai or equal.
DAY 2
09.00 Travel to Kampaengpetch Historical Park which comprises approximately 60 monuments in an area of 3.5 sq.kms. Visit to monuments of the inner city especially Wat Pra Kaew at the centre of the ancient Kampaengpetch where the Emerald Buddha was once housed. Monuments of the outer city such as Wat Pra non, Wat si Iriyabot and Wat Chang Rod (Elephant Suround Temple) were built of late rite of enormous size and decorated with fine stucco.
18.00 Dinner on the bank of Ping River. After dinner return to Pailyn Hotel.
DAY 3
Am. Visit to the ceremics factory which using ancient techniques for productions
before travel to Si Satchanalai Historical Park. At Si Satchanalai Historical
Park, visit to monuments in Chaliang the outer area of Si Satchanalai which
flourished before the founding of Si Satchanalai, the original walking Buddha of
Wat Mahathat and Wat Chom Chuen archeological site.
Pm. Visit to ancient city of Si Satchanalai, one of the best conserved ancient cities in Thailand, the museums of Sankhalok kilns date 12th-15th century AD. Visit Had Siew Village which is famous for handwoven cloth and Museum of Ancient Textitel, Transfer Phitsanulok.
18.00 Dinner and transfer to hotel or airport.
